Delusions
As always, you’re right on time—because it's always "right now." I’m thrilled to welcome you to my world of full-impact mindfulness and an approach we like to call "Fishing Without Bait." Here, there are no entrance exams, no comparisons with others. Our only "test" is the challenge to ourselves, and our only references are those we can vouch for ourselves.
A Place Where Magic Happens: If life feels like a burden, if you're irritable, restless, or discontent, maybe it's time to adjust your perspective. You might just be looking through the wrong end of the telescope, seeing only the negatives, living on mere wishes and hopes. Here, we blend synergy with synchronicity to create real magic. And by magic, I mean the art of speaking things into existence—not material things, necessarily, but those invaluable intangibles that no currency can buy.
The Journey to Your Authentic Self: Think of Dorothy in "The Wizard of Oz," stepping out into a vibrant world of color. That's the journey we're on. It’s about detaching, untangling, and living without rigid expectations. We aim to explode into a world of vibrant mindfulness, where you open the door to your truest self and start a grand adventure.
A Lesson from Magic Shows: Have you ever watched a magician at work, perhaps cutting someone in half without a scream or a drop of blood? It's all about illusion and sleight of hand, the fun of the performance, trying to unravel the mystery. This is much like the illusions in our daily lives—fun, yet sometimes used to our detriment.
The Art of Seeing Clearly: In our discussions, we often compare the expert's mind to a racehorse with blinders—focused only on what's directly ahead, missing out on the broader view. This is where the beginner's mind excels, open to possibilities and unburdened by the weight of expectation. This theme of open-minded exploration is something we return to often, as it's crucial in helping us navigate life fully aware and deeply engaged.
Dealing with Delusions: Sometimes, life's stress and pain push us into fantasies, which can be delightful escapes, like diving into a good movie or losing ourselves in video games. But there's a thin line between harmless daydreaming and delusions that disconnect us from reality. Our past discussions on checking the facts and stepping outside our immediate perceptions are tools to help us stay grounded.
Reconnecting with Your Authentic Self: Our core belief at Fishing Without Bait is that many of life's struggles stem from a disconnection from our authentic selves. By engaging with our true passions and living in the moment—really feeling that 'tingle' of existence—we reconnect with our core, our ikigai. It's about knowing who you are, checking the facts, and being present in the now.
A Call to Action: I invite you to join us in this exploration of mindfulness, to challenge yourself daily, and to see the world through fresh eyes. And for those who have been on this journey with us for a while, I’d love to hear what resonates with you. What ideas have stuck? How have they helped you shift your perspective and embrace life more fully?
Until next time, remember: you are the creator of your life. Which end of the horse will you choose to look at today? It's entirely up to you. Namaste.
