During this installment of the program, Jim Ellermeyer continues his dialogue with Chris Whitlatch, the author of "Notorious Pittsburgh." They delve into the emergence of vice in Pittsburgh, the noteworthy figure Dante "Tex" Gill, who was a trans man that was openly accepted by society at the time and a leader in the underground scene. Additionally, they compare these individuals to Andrew Carnegie and his contributions to the city's welfare during that period, as well as explore how this led to the state of disarray on Liberty Avenue after the late 1970s. The discussion also includes the notorious serial killer Richard Henkel, who attempted to commit "insurance fraud" through murder. Lastly, the show covers the story of the Christmas bombing that caused vice establishments to shut down for the holiday.
